Downtime sucks.

Don't let your kids go away to university and take their servers with them, otherwise they'll do like I did and leave an entire NIN fanbase just dying for lyrics completely clueless.

My apologies to everyone who reads this site and to darling Chris who runs it. I, Darryl, lord god emperor of the server, have moved to New York and took the Mac Mini with me, on which I was hosting this site. I cannot guarantee that I can continue to host this site, as I'm now on the campus network, but I am confident that I will, and if I cannot, I will have hosting elsewhere that will service this site.

The webserver for this site -- wellnowwhat.net -- is located in South Florida; Fort Lauderdale, to be precise. As many have likely noticed, a decently sized hurricane recently impacted South Florida, and as a result 98% of all homes and businesses in the Tricounty Area, of which Fort Lauderdale is a part, were out of power. It was lost the morning of Monday 24 October, and restored Sunday 6 November, for a total of 13 days without electricity. That, however, was not the fullest extent of the damage. Communications were also down, and they were only restored a full 17 days after being lost. We regret the downtime and appologize for any inconveniences, but nothing could have been done to prevent it. All complaints should be directed to the responsible parties, namely Comcast and Florida Power & Light.

I now have a nifty little hit counter courtesy of statcounter.com. Currently it is tracking page views on the index, this page, and the halo pages. I *might* insert it on all the individual lyric pages, but it's not likely.

For whatever reason, 'march of the pigs' was labeled as 'all the pigs, all lined up' on halo 17. I'm curious as to the reason for this, because on every version of AATCHB I have ever seen, the song is labeled march of the pigs. Oh well. I fixed it on the halo 17 page, and I tried to change the name on all the files that reference it, but I may have missed some. As always, tell me if you notice any errors, or have any suggestions.

UPDATE: Since I haven't gotten the search working since I took control of this site, I just added a free Google site search. It's better than nothing.

Apologies for the lack of update recently. A combination of personal problems and general laziness delayed this for awhile. However, I have now updated halo 20, and altered halo 19 to list the japanese import version. Yes, I know the jpeg is crappy. It's only temporary while I try to find a picture more conforming to the standard I use. If you happen to have a nice 275x250 picture of the japanese import version of with_teeth, feel free to send it my way.

It's been a bit, I know. I've both been slacking off and waiting for some kind of significant change in things to update the site. Well, something has happened. As you may have noticed, there's now a new album listed on the main page. This is the Only single, due for release on the 25th.

Other than that, some minor typos were corrected. Also, I realize I said on the help page that I would include the japanese import of halo_19 on the page. Apologies, as I completely forgot I had said that. Many thanks to those who pointed it out, especially grayscalerain. I'll have that fixed soon.

While I'm at it; someone emailed me awhile back concerning the great collapse; specifically about it being listed as a remix of the great below and the wretched. Now, I didn't write this-- Tripps did back when he had control of the site. I really don't know whether it's correct or not. Does anyone possess the liner notes for things falling apart, or otherwise know about this? If so, please drop me a line and I'll update the site as necessary. Thanks.

I apologize if you have sent me email and I didn't reply. The amount of email I am getting related to this site is by no means staggering, but it IS a great deal more than I am used to. I promise I at least read what you had to say, and I will try to respond. In the meantime, thanks to everyone who is using this site. I really enjoy hearing from you.

Halo 18 was finished yesterday-- thanks to Garnett Tubman for providing the lyrics for those songs. Halo 19 is nearly complete; thanks to the multiple people who have sent in lyrics for various songs there. You can stop now. :-) I'll have those pages up soon.

I'm honored to be in control of this wonderful resource that Tripps created. I know I mentioned changes will be coming; don't worry, as I am not going to change the purpose nor content of this site. This has always been one of the best lyrics websites on the net, and I don't want to change that. The only differences you will see in this site in the near future will be aesthetic. Oh, and perhaps I'll fix that damn search.
